Exfoliate, cleanse, hydrate and polish your skin with our purely poured, all natural sugar scrub in one easy step.
This one needs no introduction! Smells just like the best selling Bath & Body Works* fragrance! Fruity notes of cucumber water, bergamot, and melon are supported by mid notes of berry vines, jasmine and white lillies on a bed of violet leaves, breeze accord, and musk.
Our gorgeous sugar scrub goes on without that overwhelming oily heaviness. When it hits your wet skin, as you scrub, it will turn into a lotion scrub. It's amazing! Your skin will feel so soft, and there is no need for a lotion afterwards!
Unless otherwise noted, our sugar scrubs contain only these ingredients:
Organic Babassu Oil
Organic Free Trade Virgin Shea Butter
Organic Emulsifying Wax
Vitamin E Oil
Tinted Sugar and/or Mica Powder & Fragrance.
Isn't it nice when we can read and pronounce the ingredients in the products we purchase?
Sometimes we add an ingredient that will compliment the benefits of our scrubs, and we will always list them as well as their benefits. For instance, we may add a clay or a tea to our scrub. We may add an all natural colorant to our scrub. When we do we'll let you know the sourcing and benefits.
Why we like Sugar:
Sugar is a natural humectant which means it draws moisture from the environment into your skin.
Sugar based products can help hydrate our skin and retain moisture.
Sugar is a great source of glycol acid, an alpha hydroxy acid. Alpha hydroxy acid penetrates the skin, breaks down the bond holding the skin cells together which all skin cell turn over.
Why we like Babassu Oil:
It's incredibly moisturizing, but unlike coconut oil, doesn’t leave your skin feeling slick and greasy and is virtually non-comedogenic, meaning it doesn’t clog pores.
It’s lightweight, absorbs easily and doesn’t carry that lingering, heavy coconut scent that might not always appeal.
Contains a high level of unsaturated fats making it non greasy.
It's a light, right oil whose thin consistency allows it to absorb quickly but penetrate deeply into the skin.
Rich in vitamin A.
Suitable for all skin types.
A great substitute for people with nut allergies
Why we like Shea Nut Butter:
Exceptionally large healing fraction. This refers to the percentage of the important nutrients, vitamins, and other valuable phytonutrients that foster healing. Depending on the source, the healing fraction of shea butter ranges from 5 % to 17 %. (The larger the healing fraction, the better). By comparison, the healing fraction of other seeds oils is very small, in the range of 1 %.
Shea butter nourishes the skin with Vitamins A, E and F. Vitamins A and E maintain the skin and keep it clear and healthy. They are particularly helpful for sun damaged skin and to help prevent premature wrinkles and facial lines.
The Vitamin A in shea butter is important for improving skin conditions, including blemishes, wrinkles, eczema, and dermatitis.
Why we like Vitamin E:
It's an antioxidant. Antioxidants are so important to our health, topically and internally because they prevent oxidative damage to cells by helping to remove free radicals (the bad guys).
It fights off the free radicals on the skin, which are a result of daily environmental stressors like unprotected sun exposure and air pollution. In fighting off free radicals, vitamin E helps protect the skin from damage.
Vitamin E is an oil-soluble nutrient and is hence heavier than water-soluble products. It restores the lost moisture.
Why we like natural Color and Fragrance:
Color is pretty and fragrance gives us a mood boost.
